Having worked at a Volvo dealership and driven many an S60, the T5 is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and a hell of an engine. And the 6-speed auto is one of the few I'd own. In sport mode, it's pretty much telepathic.

I see a CPO or used V60 R in my future if these turn out to be good cars. It definitely would be a good car for a one car person.

T5 is a wolf in sheep's clothing

Not the same T5 you're used to. I hope these new engines live up to the name though. I'll be off to check out a new T5 FWD as soon as they get one in just so we can decide if it'd be for us.

The T5 AWD actually comes with the turbo 2.5 still. T5 FWD is the one with the FI/Hybrid 4cyl.

For some reason I read AWD as FWD.

I blame Volvo for having two T5 engines that are NOT even close-ish to the same.

Yeah, I'd much rather have a more honest badge, but I'd even take them not making the same badge mean different things at this point. It all goes back to the German car makers picking random numbers that no longer have anything to do with displacement.

As long as we stick with this new scheme, it'll all work out.
